According to CNPC, CNPC has supplied 17.406 billion cubic meters of gas to China as of December 13, up 9.66% year on year, reaching a record high of 684 million cubic meters per day, 9.97% higher than the peak supply of gas in last year's heating season.
This spring, natural gas market had tight supply, prices rose. Since this year, in the traditional low consumption season, natural gas demand continues to maintain high growth. From January to October, China's apparent natural gas consumption increased by 17.2% year-on-year, showing a trend of not weak in the off-season but more prosperous in the winter. Entering the heating season, domestic gas demand further increases, which brings severe test to natural gas production and supply.
According to CNPC, this winter heating season, CNPC plans to implement a total of 84.1 billion cubic meters of resources, an increase of 3.3 billion cubic meters year-on-year, an increase of 4.08%.
Since the heating season, the average domestic gas produced by CNPC has reached 320 million m3 / day. Petrochina's tarim, Changqing, Southwest and Qinghai provinces are expected to produce 41.6 billion cubic meters of gas this winter and next spring.
Fu Suotang, general manager of Changqing Oilfield, said the field's average daily gas production will remain at 113 million cubic meters during the winter supply period, with an estimated supply of 13.6 billion cubic meters.
Among the new gas resources added this year, the development of unconventional resources increased significantly. Petrochina expects to shovel 4.2 billion cubic meters of shale gas this year, up more than 40% from a year earlier.
Overseas procurement of resources, China Petroleum said, this year for the global advance fundraising, allocation of resources. Specifically, it will strengthen communication and coordination with natural gas resource providers in Central Asia and organize overseas projects such as the Amu Darya Gas field to supply gas through tapping potential and overplanning. We will coordinate efforts to keep uzbekistan and Kazakhstan's daily gas supply above 20 million cubic meters. Since winter supply, pipeline imports from central Asia have maintained an average of 125 million cubic meters per day.
Due to the widespread demurrage situation of LNG vessels, CNPC has increased the purchase of unplanned LNG, which has secured about 10 billion cubic meters of resources. At present, the utilization rate of CNPC's three LNG terminals in Jiangsu, Tangshan and Dalian has increased by 70.4% year-on-year.
In this year's winter supply, CNPC also increased the resource exchange and flexible transport capacity, and cooperated with Sinopec and CNOOC to establish a mechanism for upstream enterprises to protect and supply each other, accelerating the formation of the pattern of "one national network".
"This year's connectivity work will involve guangxi, Guangdong, Tianjin, Hebei and Shandong provinces, covering regions and resources *," petrochina said. Its total investment in key interconnection projects has exceeded 25.8 billion yuan, 16 of the 17 compressor stations have been completed, and the construction of the remaining projects is nearing completion. At present, it has formed an initial capacity of 30 million cubic meters per day of "south to north gas", and its resource control capacity has been significantly enhanced.
CNPC will tilt resources toward the "2+ 26" cities and the important areas of clean heating in the Fenhe and Weihe plains in winter. Among them, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong, Henan, Shaanxi and other northern provinces arranged 37.8 billion cubic meters of gas supply, an increase of 9.5%, accounting for 96% of the total increase in gas supply.
According to the CNPC sales branch, CNPC will negotiate pricing with customers in a market-based way for imported LNG, shale gas, coal-to-gas, coal-bed methane, gas storage and other resources with price liberalization within the scope of policy this year. For the extra gas resources beyond the contract, market allocation will be carried out through Shanghai and Chongqing trading center to reduce the loss of resource supply enterprises.
In terms of coordination between civil gas and industrial gas, CNPC said that it would first coordinate gas enterprises (including provincial grid companies) and important users in various cities to arrange gas use according to the contract, and give priority to ensuring residential gas use when the total resources cannot take into account industrial and people's livelihood gas use.
